The best authentic Mexican around.
Service is fine. All food hand made and tastes that way. If you haven't gone go immediately!! -

Excellent experience and food. The only drawback is the language barrier. I don't speak Spanish and our servers English was virtually nonexistent which made ordering a bit of a problem. Everyone was very friendly and tried. This is not Americanized Mexican food this is real. I will definitely be back.

The only truly AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine in the CSRA. Food is spectacular, service is genuine. Small store for food items located in the front. Minimal English spoken at location. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, this place is a hidden treasure!

Honestly never thought I would find a place this authentically Mexican in Augusta, but it makes sense. There's a sizable enough local population and it feels like not a single other table had non-Mexicans at it, so it's cool they feed the local Mexican population what they like. Tacos were legit --especially the lengua. The fajitas jaliscence were good and insanely large so definitely plan to split the dish with someone else. The Gordita was delicious but pretty damn heavy so be prepared. Guacamole was great. You won't be let down. If you like authentic Mexican food, it doesn't get better in Augusta.

Part Mexican goods storefront connecting to a restaurant seating area. Very authentico! Many local Mexicans eating here. Actually, for this Saturday afternoon, we were the only occidental gringoes. Lots of Mexican paper cut out decor and bright colors in bright fluorescent lighting.
There is a back room bar and pool table near bathrooms. The bathrooms could use a good cleanup and update.
We were made welcome entering and seating quickly for 5 of us. Our server, was very friendly and patient explaining how and what to order. The menu is in English and Spanish, but the names of dishes and the way the dishes were made was explained beautifully.
The waitress brought out fresh cucumbers and radishes, pickles red onions, fresh limes and salsas to prep us for toppings to our meal.
All the tortillas and sopas are made in house. The salsas (jalapeño and spicy) were nice flavors.
It's an extra $1.50 for chips and salsas.
Soups are served only on weekends. Noticed a lot of people ordering soups today.
I tried the menudo(cow tripe) soup. Half order($6.95) and thought it was filled with nice tender chunks of tripe and very earthy, gamely, and pungent. Using the limes and spicy salsa added a nice balance to the soup.
Also, had the tender lagune (tongue) sopas. I like that the tortilla was puffy and grilled lightly crispy. And the tongue was tender and thinly sliced.
I like that it's authentic and locals eat here. Very friendly and Mexican family oriented.
I'm a fan.
